Jakarta, Harianradar.com – Kepala Divisi Humas Polri Irjen Argo Yuwono memastikan pesan berantai alias boadcast message yang berisikan informasi DKI Jakarta akan lockdown total pada tanggal 12 hingga 15 Februari 2021 hoax alias palsu.
“Bahwa broadcast ini adalah tidak benar, broadcast ini adalah salah, dengan adanya broadcast yang tidak benar itu akan berdampak negatif bagi siapa saja,” kata Argo saat memberikan keterangan pers bersama Kemenkes di Jakarta, Jumat (5/2).
Adapun pesan berantai tersebut, jelas Argo berisikan informasi bahwa lockdown atau penutupan total Ibu Kota telah diputuskan oleh Presiden Joko Widodo.
Pesan juga mengimbau agar masyarakat menyediakan bahan makanan, selama lockdown diberlakukan. Menurut Argo, pesan itu jug berisi informasi bila kepolisian akan menangkap langsung dan melakukan swab, kepada yang diketahui berada di luar rumah.
“Memang kontennya biasa saja, tapi isinya bisa bersifat menghasut membuat fitnah, dan kemudian hoax itu akan menyasar emosi masyarakat dan kemudian menimbulkan opini negatif yang mengakibatkan kegaduhan di masyarakat dan diintegrasi bangsa,” tandas Argo.
Terkait hoax ini, Argo memaparkan, Polri telah menangani total 352 kasus penyebaran berita hoax. Dalam kasus pesan berantai itu, ia mengingatkan potensi ancaman dan hukuman yang diterima kepada pelaku.
Menurut dia, pelaku bisa diancam kurungan hingga 10 tahun lewat sejumlah pasal dan undang-undang. Beberapa di antaranya seperti pasal 28 ayat 1 UU 11/2008, tentang ITE. Ada pula KUHP pasal 14 ayat 1, 2, dan tiga. (sam/sul)
